    We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Aide to join our Facilities team in Palmdale, CA.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Under close supervision with detailed instructions, this position is responsible for maintaining building, ground and office areas in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.

    + Follows established training procedures and guidelines to include the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.

    + Cleans assigned areas according to established standards.

    + Performs a combination of routine duties including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and polishing.

    + Reports items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction to lead and/or supervisor.

    + Follows established antiseptic techniques and uses appropriate solutions to clean and wash fixtures, restrooms and all touch points.

    + Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of custodial stockroom equipment, tools and closets.

    + Gathers and disposes of trash and recyclables. Washes and relines waste containers.

    + May respond to customer inquiries and requests as needed.

    + May be required to launder microfibers, cleaning cloths, flat mops and bonnets.

    + Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safe usage.

    + May drive company vehicle between locations.

    + Cleans carpets as necessary to include spot cleaning.

    + Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

    + Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    Job Qualifications:

    + Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of related experience in janitorial services

    + Must be customer focused

    + Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English

    + Must have a valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle

    + Ability to use power equipment

    + Effectively interface and communicate with customers

    + Work independently or in a team environment

    + Work extended hours as required.

    + May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and may require lifting above shoulders.

    + May require a valid California driver’s license with a good driving record verified by the DMV.
