THE POSITION
Are you interested in managing a fully integrated model of healthcare and social services for the elderly? The Department of Human Services, Office of Long-Term Living is seeking a Nursing Services Consultant. If you are an organized, professional registered nurse with excellent communications skills and the desire to travel statewide to provide operational and clinical oversight needed to monitor quality management of the Living Independence for the Elderly (LIFE) Program (nationally known as PACE), then we encourage you to apply today!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A Nursing Services Consultant is a registered nurse in the role of LIFE Program Lead in the Division of Integrated Care Programs, Office of Long-Term Living managing operational and clinical operations while monitoring procedural compliance for the LIFE program. You will travel statewide to coordinate of all activities regarding policy, procedures, regulations, and quality improvement. You will also oversee risk management programs as they relate to improving the quality of service and support for the LIFE program. This role requires the ability to develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to discuss operational issues as they relate to Pennsylvania programs . In addition, you will investigate complaints and provide technical assistance to provider agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Home Headquartered:This is a home headquartered position. You will be headquartered at your home and travel to worksites to complete your work duties. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to be headquartered at your home, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of professional nursing experience; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
+ All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
+ All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
