Ascendis Pharma is a dynamic, fast-growing global biopharmaceutical company with locations in Denmark, Europe, and the United States. Today, we're advancing programs in Endocrinology Rare Disease and Oncology.
We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist/Business Partner to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting key HR functions, including on-boarding, data management, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and compliance. You will work closely with both employees and management to ensure a positive work environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Business Partnering: Serve as HR partner contact for certain business groups providing support to people managers on a variety of people practices (i.e., ongoing performance development and coaching, training and development initiatives).
+ Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee and people leaders, helping to resolve issues, promote a positive culture, and enhance employee engagement. Will conduct workplace investigations as needed.
+ Training and Development: In partnership with people managers, identify training and professional development needs among teams; facilitate employee development actions to enhance skills and knowledge.
+ Change management and organizational effectiveness
+ Compensation: provide guidance on compensation-related matters.
+ On-boarding of new US employees: Will assist with ensuring effective on-boarding and assimilation. Ensure data accuracy in our HCM, payroll, and benefits systems.
+ Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
+ People Practices & Policy Implementation: Support the development and execution of company policies and procedures.
Position Details:
+ Regular, full-time position with flexible working arrangements.
+ Onsite presence in our Palo Alto, CA office 3 times per week or more, as necessary.
+ Travel within the US &/or to our corporate headquarters in Denmark may be necessary.
Salary range: $165-185K/year

Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience in a human resource role including at least 3 years minimum as a generalist with strong HR operations knowledge.
+ Biotechnology experience preferred
+ Employee relations experience required.
+ Compensation experience required, familiarity with Radford strongly preferred.
+ Strong collaboration, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
+ Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
