Work You'll Do
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to determine business-specific data needs and translate them into technical designs.
+ Explore, analyze, and understand data from internal and external sources, outlining designs to integrate, centralize, and unify data.
+ Identify attributes, measures, and work with stakeholders to understand KPIs and business rules.
+ Collaborate with analytics and business intelligence teams to define data models and ensure data availability, quality, and usability.
+ Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data engineering solutions.
+ Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers, project team members, and representatives from various teams. Escalate any matters needing extra attention from engagement management.
+ Lead client engagement workstreams independently and collaboratively. Focus on improving, optimizing, and transforming processes. Implement leading practice workflows, address quality deficits, and drive operational outcomes.
The Team As part of the US Strategy & Analytics Offering Portfolio, the AI & Data offering provides managed AI, Intelligent Automation, and Data DevOps services across the advise-implement-operate spectrum.
Required Qualifications
+ 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a data architecture or technical leadership role
+ Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Databricks)
+ Proficiency in Python/Spark for data processing, and SQL for complex data transformations
+ Experience with data modeling (dimensional, star schema), metadata management, and performance optimization
+ Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau) and integrating data pipelines with reporting layers
+ Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, cataloging, and security frameworks
+ Experience with CI/CD using Github Actions or Jenkins.
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
+ Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
+ Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
+ Must live within a commutable distance of Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY and comfortable working 2-3 days a week in office
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior experience in a Media & Entertainment domain is a plus
+ Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
+ Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
+ Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
+ Excellent Written and Communication Skills
+ Ability to deliver technical demonstrations

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120000 to $160000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
