Job Summary
Supervise a group of financial controls analyst responsible for cost management throughout all phases of the project. Including contract administration and analysis, audit mitigation and reporting, and work order administration. The supervisor will also be responsible for cost management systems, training, and process development/improvement.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Supervise daily invoice processing and manage work load to ensure compliance with Accounting Policies and Guidelines; Provide guidance to analysts and field employees regarding interpretation of contract language in processing invoices.Supervise the identification and recording of unvouchered liabilities; collaborate with accounting, internal/external auditors, project teams and vendors.
Act as the liaison with Accounts Payable for all invoice, voucher and receipting issues.Manage the contract administration payment system to process vendor invoices in alignment with the financial terms of the contract; ensure compliance with AEP policies and guidelines; provide vendor and employee training.
Oversee field administrative support activities that may include time reporting, employee expense reporting, work order creation, invoice processing, etc.
Lead in the review and/or development of project controls standards and guidelines. Direct, guide, and champion the administration of AEP project management organizational standards and assist in the management of projects to those standards.
Adhere to the guidance and standards put forth by the AEP Project Management Governance Committee.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:Education requirement is dependent upon experience as indicated below.Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, Project Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Economics, or Data Science.High school diploma or GED with sixteen (16) years' qualified experience in one of the following AEP job families: Project Coordinator, Project Cost Analyst, Project Scheduler, Project Controls Specialist, Project Data Analyst, and/or Project Financial Controls Analyst.Associates degree in applicable field with ten (10) years' qualified experience.Bachelor's degree in applicable field with eight (8) years' qualified experience.For nuclear facilities only: Educational requirement for advancement can be fulfilled by qualified experience in the Navy Nuclear Program in addition to the maximum years of experience as noted.
Experience:Qualified experience includes the following:- Cost and/or schedule management experience from project initiation through project closeout on projects of varying complexity, size, and duration.- A demonstrated level of competency in project management and/or business acumen.- Earned value analysis.- Working knowledge in project management and/or corporate accounting reporting and forecasting tools.L
icense/Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or other project controls certifications preferred but not required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Depending on business unit may be responsible for supervision and coordination of material management activities including establishing laydown areas; warehouse facilities; ordering site purchased materials; receiving and storage of all direct purchased materials; material issuing and documentation retention; ordering and tracking all direct rented equipment; collect and submitting all material receipts and proof of delivery; verification of invoices for all direct rentals and commodities; project close out and disposal of excess material; ensure all material requiring QC is QC'd marked and records maintained.
Technically competent in financial reporting systems (PeopleSoft, Maximo, etc…)Strong analytical, oral/written communication and presentation skills are required.
Understand and support the policies, values, principles, structure and behavior of AEP, especially the AEP Leads framework: Lead by example, Engage employees, Act with accountability, Develop employees, and Strive for excellence.
Safely and effectively perform light physical duties at various work sites including home and AEP locations in varying conditions.For nuclear sites only: Work performed at nuclear power sites may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within the limits prescribed by the NRC.

$112,869.00-146,730.50 USD
