    Job Summary

Delight Restaurant Group is seeking an exceptional business leader to join our team as Director of Business Transformation. This newly created role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a bias for execution-someone eager to dive deep into complex problems, generate actionable insights, and lead cross-functional initiatives that span technology, operations, finance, and infrastructure.

This position is designed for an MBA-level professional with strong analytical horsepower, intellectual curiosity, and a relentless drive to turn ideas into scalable solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Improvement Officer, the Director of Business Transformation will work closely with senior leadership to design and execute critical strategic projects that will shape the future of our rapidly growing business.

    Example Responsibilities

    IT Modernization & Infrastructure

+ Design and evaluate a spare parts and repair depot strategy for in-house technology, including location, tracking systems, and ROI modeling.

+ Define our kiosk and VoiceAI/FreshAI strategies, including operational metrics and profitability frameworks.

+ Lead the transition off third-party IT support (e.g., NCR HelpDesk) and design an in-house or hybrid solution

+ Develop and recommend the future state of our Corporate IT structure, including:

+ Store-level email and productivity tools (e.g., Gmail vs. Microsoft Enterprise)

+ File management and security protocols (e.g., OneDrive adoption, failover systems, StarLink evaluation)

    Finance Transformation

+ Create a roadmap to shift finance and accounting functions in-house or offshore-defining org design, technology stack, and implementation sequencing.

+ Partner with the Support Team to benchmark current financial performance and identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction.

    Operations & P&L Optimization

+ Launch a low-profitability restaurant review process, with a focus on pricing strategy, margin levers, and operational inefficiencies.

+ Deep-dive into our food and labor strategies, evaluating new cost control methods (e.g., managing labor as % of sales, forecasting at the distribution center level).

+ Support analysis on Delivery strategy: aggregator economics, promotion tracking, and operational flow of funds.

    Energy & Facilities Innovation

+ Evaluate energy-saving initiatives such as community solar, LED retrofits, and on-site utility expertise.

+ Lead vendor and in-house strategy assessments across UCO, grease trap maintenance, landscaping, and HVAC/plumbing services.

    Strategic Project Management

+ Own the execution roadmap for high-priority capital and operational projects:

+ Digital menuboard implementation ($8M+ investment)

+ Safe swap initiatives, sticky printer deployment, and payment device rollouts

+ Headset and cold spare replacement strategies

+ Drive performance tracking, communication, and alignment across teams.

    Qualifications

+ MBA (or equivalent experience); recent or upcoming graduate of a top-tier program strongly preferred (e.g., Northwestern Kellogg).

+ 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, operations, private equity, or corporate transformation roles.

+ Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from ideation through execution.

+ Advanced analytical and modeling skills; highly proficient in Excel and data visualization tools.

+ Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.

+ Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for rolling up sleeves and building from scratch.
