Role: DataPower Lead Developer (Manager Level)

Location :Charlotte NC , Onsite

Job Type: Full Time only

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead the development and configuration of APIs and custom plugins on Kong Gateway post-migration. Enable scalability, security, and observability through advanced Kong features and ecosystem integration.

+ Analyze and extract existing configurations (XMLs, firewall policies, service proxies) from DataPower appliances.

+ Assess migration readiness and perform workload disposition for target Kong setup.

+ Map iRules or DataPower-specific logic to Kong-compatible constructs.

+ Collaborate with architecture and factory teams to align on migration patterns and sequencing.

+ Support GenAI tools for configuration parsing and documentation automation.

Skills Required

+ Deep expertise in IBM DataPower including configuration extraction, XML/XSL processing, and rule mapping.

+ Experience in service proxy setup, firewall/security policies, and migration assessment.

+ Familiarity with workload readiness frameworks and documentation practices.

+ Strong business communication and consulting experience.

+ Proven coordination with cross-functional and offshore teams.

+ Solution-oriented mindset with ability to interpret technical complexities.

Salary Transparency Language:

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $86129 to $127189/yearly.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
