    Title of Position:Behavior Specialist - Aaron Mossell Junior High/Emmet Belknap Intermediate

     

    ________________________________________________________________________________

    Qualifications:

    + Experiencing delivering crisis counseling and creating behavior intervention plans for intermediate aged students

    + Specialized knowledge of restorative practices and trauma informed practices

    + The ability and commitment to use technology as an tool to manage tasks

    + Uncompromising commitment to continuous improvement

    + Ability to provide coaching, skills training, and other supports to individuals who have, or are at risk for developing significant problem behaviors that impair their ability to appropriate participate and benefit from their education and other daily functions

    + Ability to establish positive, effective, and cooperative relationships with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and the communit y

    + Demonstrated ability to assess children's behavioral needs and competence in the design of effective behavioral strategies

    + Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programs and collaborate with and support other staff

    + Loyalty and evidence of being a team player

    + Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community

     

    Requirements:NY State certification in school psychology (strongly preferred),

     

    School counselor, school social worker, special education teacher

     

    Position Available:on/about September 1, 2025

     

    Stipend:$45,544 - $57,156 (dependent on college credits)
