    Job Description

    A Loftsperson must demonstrate an expert knowledge of skills, functional knowledge and abilities required to perform tasks in these and related areas of responsibility.

     

    Expert knowledge means that the Loftsperson understands how to perform task in these categories (including, but not limited to, the specific tasks identified below) and is able to complete them independently, teach others how to complete tasks, and serve as a leader regarding these areas of knowledge as well as overall project scope. This also means that the Loftsperson has the necessary level of knowledge of the equipment, protective gear, and machinery required to complete these tasks. A Loftsperson also is expected to strategize independently, problem-solve, and contribute to project planning and execution. Loftsperson's must also provide guidance to peers when running point on a job.

     

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    High school Diploma/GED

    5 years Shipfitting experience

     

    Proficient at Blueprint Reading

     

    Proficient in the use of computers and associated software programs.

     

    Must be able to obtain government access badge.

     

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    AutoCAD experience

    Apprentice Graduate

     

    DBID Badge

     

    Pay Information

     

    This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
