    Job Description

    EPS Corporation is seeking an experiencedCybersecurity Operations Managerto lead and oversee the security operations of our critical IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, with specific expertise in Unix/Linux systems, firewalls, and ITIL service management practices. This role requires hands-on experience managing cybersecurity operations, as well as leadership skills to direct a team in maintaining a secure and resilient IT environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead and manage a cybersecurity operations team, ensuring that all systems and networks are secured against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

    + Oversee day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including incident detection, response, and mitigation for enterprise IT systems.

    + Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

    + Coordinate and collaborate with other IT teams to monitor, identify, and address security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risks.

    + Manage and optimize firewalls, Unix/Linux-based security systems, and other security tools to ensure comprehensive protection of network infrastructure.

    + Ensure the consistent application of security controls, incident management, and root cause analysis to resolve complex security issues.

    + Use ITIL-based practices to manage security-related service requests, incidents, and changes in a controlled manner.

    + Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements, and provide guidance on best practices.

    + Develop and maintain security operation documentation, including reports, procedures, and incident logs.

    + Lead and participate in cybersecurity exercises, threat hunting, and security audits.

    + Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring the development of a skilled and effective cybersecurity team.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Security Clearance: Must possess aTop Secretclearance withSCI eligibility.

    + Certifications:

    + Network+ or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

    + ITIL Foundation Certification

    + Education:

    + B.S. in a related field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Network Engineering) OR

    + 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

    + Experience:

    + Minimum of 5 years of relevant cybersecurity operations experience OR

    + 7+ years of relevant experience in network security, operations, and management.

    + Strong hands-on experience withUnix/Linux systemsandfirewall management.

    + Expertise in incident detection, analysis, and response, including conducting post-incident investigations.

    + Proven experience implementing and managing security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security.

    Additional Skills:

    + In-depth knowledge of network security, cybersecurity operations, and industry best practices.

    + Strong experience with firewall management, Unix/Linux security configurations, and security incident response.

    + Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring efficient operations and high-performance outcomes.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    + Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and network monitoring tools.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and address security challenges in real-time.

     

    Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and FISMA.
