DESCRIPTION
The **HR Compliance Project Manager** will be responsible for overseeing and managing HR projects to support compliance with Federal, state, local, and provincial laws and regulations in the US and Canada.
This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams and external parties to integrate plans and coordinate execution for large cross-functional projects requiring multiple workstreams.
This role will ensure alignment and engagement by building strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external parties to ensure that implemented solutions and processes adhere to compliance requirements and meet business needs.
Responsibilities include identifying necessary controls to remediate gaps reviewing vendor documents, advising on risk mitigation, implementing controls, and ensuring compliance scope transitions are carried out seamlessly.
Including involves developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, conducting regular audits, and addressing potential compliance issues.
+ Participate in, and lead where appropriate, strategic cross-functional projects for critical compliance deliverables.
+ Manage projects from inception to completion, fostering a culture of compliance by integrating systems and processes, and leading change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementations.
+ Collaborate with various stakeholders, manage resources, and maintain project documentation while also staying updated on industry trends to drive best-in-class compliant HR processes.

+ This role will work closely with all HR teams, Legal, IT, and the business to drive specific HR compliance programs/initiatives that attract, engage, and retain talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Lead and manage HR compliance-related projects, including but not limited to efforts related to process improvements, system implementations, audits, policy governance, and training initiatives.
+ Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of HR compliance projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, business needs, and the law. Lead development of business cases and requirements.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, and schedule and facilitate productive meetings to ensure successful project completion.
+ Leverage and analyze people and organizational data to conduct impact and cost-benefit analysis for projects, validate cost and benefit assumptions with stakeholders, resource managers, and process owners.
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, project plans, and status reports.
+ Monitor project performance using KPIs, providing regular and transparent updates to stakeholders.
+ Provide project support and track key programs in partnership with other teams such as recruiting, learning and development, employee relations, and human resources business partners (HRBP).
+ Support risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
+ Facilitate user acceptance testing and ensure that system requirements have been met.
+ Oversee the change process associated with HR compliance transformations, including stakeholder communication, resources, training, and supporting strategies.
+ Facilitate policy governance processes, including maintaining an accurate repository of current and retired policies, publishing new or revised policies, tracking related change management and communication deliverables to meet deadlines, and facilitating quarterly policy reviews.
+ Create and maintain accurate and organized records of HR compliance activities, including policy updates, training materials, and project requirements.
+ Manage audits and reviews of HR processes, practices, and records to identify compliance gaps or areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions.
+ Support development, implementation, and action planning for employee surveys related to compliance effectiveness and employee engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Human Resources, Business, or related field. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience may be considered.
Work Experience Required:
+ Seven (7) years of experience leading project management efforts for HR initiative
+ Hands on experience in a Human Resources role (HR compliance, HR Generalist, HRBP, HR Manager, etc.) strongly preferred
+ Solid understanding of HR processes and data, as well as how technology can be leveraged to improve these areas.
+ PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
+ Proven ability to lead and inspire project teams, prioritize and manage details, delegate tasks efficiently, manage project timelines, and drive successful outcomes in fast-paced ambiguous environments.
+ Ability to translate HR operational needs from business requirements.
+ Demonstrated track record of effectively leading through influence and collaboration.
+ Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office products (including advanced Excel skills), and other relevant business applications to support compliant, automated, data driven solutions.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
+ Familiarity with local, state/province, and federal/national laws and regulations related to employment.
+ Experience with change management principles and methodologies, with a track record of leading successful change initiatives preferred.
