Position Summary
The Bandag plant in Abilene has been in operation for over 50 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers. Bandag is a critical piece of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of premium retread tires. Bridgestone seeks energetic and motivated night-shift Production Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Abilene, TX.
Pay:
• Starting pay $22.28/hour with guaranteed progression increases.
• Automatic pay increases at regular intervals—every 3 to 6 months—and progressing to
$27.32/hr in 24 months
• Tenure-based pay steps at 5 and 10 years to reward long-term commitment.
• Specialized roles available, offering even higher earning potential up to $30.74/hour

Responsibilities
_Job Responsibilities:_
+ A focus on Safety First, Always!
+ Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment
+ Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
+ Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
+ Maintain accurate daily production records
+ Other duties as assigned
_Physical Requirements:_
+ Lifting requirements may be up to 130 lbs. on an occasional basis. Lifting requirements range from a height of 3-5 feet.
+ Medium physical effort is required to maneuver through out departments that include climbing stairs; in addition, a considerable amount of standing is necessary
_Preferred Skills and Experience:_
+ Preferred 2 years of employment stability.
+ Preferred 1 year manufacturing experience.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Must possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent, (completed and verified prior to start).
