About the Role

At Wellness Pet, social media is more than just sharing pics of cute pups and kitties (although that is part of it!). It's about connecting with consumers, being relatable and fun, and helping to educate pet parents on the benefits of feeding Wellness pet food. We-re looking for a fun and dynamic Digital Marketing Intern to help us do just that. As the Digital Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for managing community engagement on our priority social media platforms, TikTok and Instagram. You will report into the Integrated Marketing team and will be based out of our Burlington, MA office location with a regular schedule of 15-20 hours per week. You will have a unique opportunity to gain professional social media experience for a brand with a combined audience of 500,000 consumers and growing and will be an integral part of the team assisting with creative development, content performance analysis and social strategy discussions.

This is an unpaid internship with the opportunity to earn college credit (based on your educational institution-s policies). We are seeking a three to six month commitment between now and the end of the calendar year.

What You-ll Do:

+ Execute on community management across Instagram and TikTok, conversing in the Wellness brand tone of voice.

+ Monitor social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok for consumer questions and outreach.

+ Brainstorm new Instagram + TikTok concepts.

+ Monitor social media trends to keep the brand culturally relevant.

+ Provide suggestions to team for improving consumer experience on social platforms and internal processes.

+ Assist in creating performance reports and analyze metrics to help gauge the success of social media content.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

+ In 3rd or 4th year of college, graduate program or beyond

+ Prior pet industry experience not required, but a love for pets is a must!

+ Pursuing a degree towards Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
