+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 3-4 years min. experience in office environment
+ Proficient in TEAMS and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
+ Knowledge of Human Resources practices
+ Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and purchasing practices
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective records and files
+ Organization, planning and time management
+ Problem-solving and decision-making
+ Close and accurate attention to detail
+ Multitasking and prioritizing workload
+ Ability to work independently under moderate to little supervision on varied and potentially complex tasks and assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
+ 2 year college degree
+ 5-6 years of experience in an office environment
+ SAP experience
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant III is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to department chair, faculty, instructional assistants of the department with assistance regarding administrative matters.
Job Duties
+ Assist the department chair with everyday administrative support.
+ Back-up to the Budget Specialist in preparing and executing purchases in Marketplace and through CoSE purchasing manually with multiple accounts. Manage records associated with transactions.
+ Resolve discrepancies as required.
+ Process all department hires in accordance with Federal and university policies.
+ Prepare and submit all PCR’s in accordance with university policy and procedures.
+ Assist chair with department class schedule in CLSS .
+ Serve as department time administrator.
+ Submit facility work orders.
+ Graduation ceremony coordinator.
+ Bobcat Day coordinator.
+ Department website manager.
+ Registrar administrator – 25Live
+ Assist with scheduling/coordinating events/meetings as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
