    Instructional Coach

    190-day contract with 15 additional days

    $7,000.00 TLC stipend

     

    Essential Job Function: Support teachers in using the Iowa Academic Standards to plan instruction and assessment and will provide needed support to help curriculum implementation; thus increasing student learning

     

    + Engage in student-centered coaching cycles (support teachers through co-teaching, co-planning, peer observation, and facilitation of meaningful reflection).

    + Assist in the development and monitoring of building improvement goals.

    + Provide tools and resources for teachers to meet the Iowa Academic Standards and District Framework for Teaching.

    + Coordinate schedules for peer observation opportunities.

    + Support MTSS efforts at the building level through collaboration with teachers around effective strategies to address the multiple and diverse needs of all learners.

    + Assist teachers with creating and reviewing quality assessments that align instruction and essential standards for the content area.

    + Support, design, and deliver professional learning at the building level and offer support at the district level as needed.

    + Communicate effectively and clearly between classroom teachers, building administration, and district staff.

    + Engage in professional learning at the district, building, and classroom levels which supports effective instructional strategies systematically implemented in classrooms.

    + Provide transition support for teachers new to a role or new to the district.

    + Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
