Summary You will serve as a Lead General Supply Specialist (L1/HM&E Provisioning Team Lead) in the Technical Division within the Submarines & Maritime Industrial Operational Division of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will perform Life Cycle Management activities that may include requirements determination, movement, and redistribution of supply items within the Navy's Distribution System. You will make recommendations to management, team leaders, members from other organizations, concerning the identification and resolution of a wide variety of critical provisioning technical problems and issues within the assigned functional area. You will review policies developed at WSS and higher echelons to determine effect on the assigned functional area. You will ensure that organizational strategic plans, missions, visions and values are communicated to the team and integrated into their strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of Department of Navy overall supply systems and their mode of operation, knowledge of the principles, regulations and practices relating to life cycle management activities to ensure the proper provisioning of material for both procurement and repair. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrating considerable experience in technical management of weapon systems, including knowledge of the technical application of managed parts to end items, and proficiency in understanding the entire lifecycle of such systems, including provisioning, sustainment, and distribution; 2) Ability to lead teams, including planning, distributing, and balancing workloads; 3) Providing guidance on problem-solving methods, and managing team dynamics to ensure the timely and effective completion of tasks; 4) Applying an understanding of the Navy's Distribution System, including technical features of assigned items, and their role in material sustainment, financing, procurement, transportation, storage, maintenance, and property utilization; and 5) Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and operating methods for provisioning functions.
