    Overview

    Job Summary Details:

    The Lead HVAC PM Technician performs maintenance, repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests.

     

    **Pay:** $25.00 - $27.00 / hour

    **Schedule:** Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm

    Experience:

    1. **Knowledge of HVAC Systems:** Understanding how heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems work, including their components and functions.

    1. Inspect and Replace Air Filters

    2. Replacement of belts and other mechanical components

    3. Check Thermostat Settings

    4. Tighten Electrical Connections

    5. Lubricate Moving Parts

    6. Check for Leaks

    7. Test System Controls

    8. Clean Condenser and Evaporator Coils

    9. All other PM task assignments

    2. **Electrical Skills:** Basic knowledge of circuits, wiring, and electrical codes to handle high-voltage systems safely

    3. **Mechanical Skills:** Proficiency in using tools and equipment for installation, repair, and maintenance

    4. **Blueprint Reading:** Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams

    5. **Refrigerant Handling:** Knowledge of refrigerants and environmental regulations related to their use

    6. **Safety Protocols:** Understanding and adhering to safety standards to prevent workplace accidents

    7. **Problem-Solving:** Ability to diagnose issues and find effective solutions quickly

    8. **Customer Service:** Communicating effectively with clients and providing excellent service

    9. **Time Management:** Efficiently managing time to complete tasks within deadlines

    10. **Attention to Detail:** Ensuring all work is done accurately and thoroughly

    11. **Ability to technology/mobile devices to pick up, generate, and complete work order assignments**

    12. **Ability to train and develop general PM technicians**

    13. **Complete inspections of completed general PM technician work orders**

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older

    • High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required

    • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Three (3) years of HVAC experience is preferred

    • Possession of refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification is preferred

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems

    • Use common tools of the HVAC trade in daily work (e.g multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.)

    • Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment

    • Identify maintenance risks on equipment

    • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems

    • Clean, adjust and repair systems, and performs warranty services

    • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

    • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training

    • Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions

    • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act

    • Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements

    • Assist with customer queries inquiries

    • Complete other duties as assigned
