The role you’ll contribute:
Under general direction, the Senior Manager Imaging Multiple Modality is responsible for managing the operations for Imaging modalities at all Florida Hospital and affiliates to assure smooth and efficient flow. The modalities and services include one or more of the following: Diagnostic XR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Ultrasound, Mammography or DXA, Procedural Imaging, or Imaging Nursing. Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process in reaching the goals of Imaging Services. Participates in and assists with meeting and maintaining all regulatory requirements. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies. Meets with customers, partners and team members to assure service levels are maintained (Rounding). Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

• Ensures staff are performing quality exams and following the established protocols of the department for the modality in which the manager holds a license and under guidance of licensed personnel such as leads and supervisors for the modality in which they do not hold a license. Counsels individuals when necessary to ensure quality exams. Communicates clinical information to staff as requested by the Radiologists. [Image Quality]
• Supports and assists with data collection for Performance Improvements while understanding the department performance trends and established standards. Contributes and encourages others to contribute toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned. Participates in department Gallup satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate. [Performance Improvement]
• Meets regularly with System Director to keep them apprised of modality business. Actively participates on assigned Extending Excellence, Performance Improvement and/or Clinical Operations committees/team(s) and shares information with staff. Provides staff meetings where applicable, promoting positive dialogue with respect to meeting or exceeding objectives. Attends other meetings as requested. [Meetings Attendance]
• Assures equipment is in good working condition and contacts appropriate personnel when repairs need to be made. Ensures the safety of patients and employees. Adheres to all infection control standards. Appropriately utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation and/or biohazard. Employee job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include proper handling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment. For NM/PET, additionally responsible for maintaining compliance with State of Florida Radioactive Materials License regulations. Initiates action plans to correct non-compliances. Works closely with Medical Physics Radiation Safety Office to implement regulatory changes. [Safety and the Environment of Care]
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field OR 5 years of equivalent experience
• At least five year’s experience as a XR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Mammography, DXA technologist or Sonographer, or Imaging Nurse
• Supervisory or Leadership experience
• The Diagnostic XR Manager has the following requirements: Florida State License- General Radiographer & ARRT (R)
• The Nuclear Medicine-PET Manager has the following requirements: State of Florida Nuclear Medicine Technologist License & ARRT (N) **OR** Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist –CNMT
• The CT / MRI Manager has the following requirements: Florida State License- General Radiographer & ARRT (R) **AND** ARRT (CT) and/or ARRT (MR)
• The US Manager has the following requirements: ARDMS
• The Mammography/ DXA Manager has the following requirements: Florida State License- General Radiographer & ARRT **AND** ARRT (M)
• The Imaging Nursing & Procedural Education Manager has the following requirements: Florida State License- Registered Professional Nurse
