    Job Summary

    As part of the Facilities Applications team, the Business Analyst Intermediate will play a critical role in ensuring the technology that powers our clinical spaces runs smoothly, supporting both healthcare providers and patients. This position will involve leading and supporting medium- to large-sized projects, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, and serving as a subject matter expert to ensure the seamless operation of various applications.

    Responsibilities*

    + System Administration & Technical Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for system administration, installation, and ongoing support, troubleshooting issues and providing performance monitoring and optimization. Participate in weekly Analyst on-call rotation.

    + Business & System Process Analysis: Conduct thorough business and system process analysis and design, architecting systems to optimize performance, security, meet business needs, and follow standards.

    + Documentation Management: Create, maintain, and review system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, contributing to streamlined workflows and processes.

    + Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison between Facilities Applications, internal teams (IT/Facilities), and external vendors, ensuring smooth communication and efficient problem-solving.

    + Project Leadership & Support: Lead and/or provide support for multiple concurrent medium- to large-sized projects, defining scope, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring project deliverables align with organizational goals.

    + Mentorship & Cross-Training: Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff, supporting their professional growth and cross-training within the team.

    + **T** raining Development & Delivery: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to business partners, ensuring they have the knowledge to effectively use the systems.

    Required Qualifications*

    + Education: Four-year degree in a related field.

    + Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with complex enterprise IT environments.

    + **T** roubleshooting Skills: Strong experience in independently troubleshooting critical applications and network communications.

    + System Infrastructure & SOPs: Proficient in identifying, documenting, and maintaining application infrastructure and standard operating procedures.

    + Technical Skills: Experience with Windows Server application management and basic networking

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    + Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work

    + Collaborative team player who can work effectively with diverse groups

    Desired Qualifications*

    + BACnet Infrastructure: Proven ability to manage, troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor BACnet and BACnet/IP networks

    + Technical Skills: SQL Database queries, Cybersecurity, Reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, BIRT), SharePoint, and ServiceNow

    + Application Specific Experience: Experience with Siemens Desigo, Kode OS, IBM Maximo MAS, Boomi Integration, Kubernetes containerized applications, Copeland TempTrak, or power monitoring systems

    + Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and training others

    + Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL practices and hospital facilities operations is preferred

    + Certifications: IT certifications in network, server, or security management, along with IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Maximo Manage or IBM Certified Administrator - Maximo Manage, and Boomi is highly desirable

    Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.     This position will be Hybrid as you will need to come into the office here in Ann Arbor every Monday. Additionally, there may be other days that will require you to come into the office for meetings, etc.

     

    Background Screening

     

    Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
