Job Specifications:

+ Outlet: Red Sky Golf Club

+ The budgeted range starts at $60,000 - $70,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

+ Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time

+ Typical Hours: 5:30AM - 2:00PM

Job Summary

+ Supervises employees in all phases of golf course maintenance to include maintainance of all tees, fairways, greens, roughs and peripheral golf course areas.

+ Manages daily course preparations for both member/guest and tournament play.

+ Assists in personnel management, evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and is often responsible for daily work scheduling based on professional interpretation.

+ Instructs/trains employees on the proper operation and care of all equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment.

+ Supervises repairs, schedules watering, oversight of maintenance regarding irrigation systems and pumpstations

Job Responsibilities

+ The assistant superintendent may serve in the superintendent's capacity during his/her absence.

+ Quality control oversight

+ Employee scheduling

+ Safety training and documentation

+ Operational training and documentation

+ Time and Labor reporting and input

+ Pesticide/fertilizer application, calibration and handling responsibilities

+ Irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting and repair work

+ Employee motivation

+ Winter plow duties

+ Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

+ 2 or 4 year degree or professional degree equivlant in turf management, plant science or other similar agriculturally related degree/field of study

+ Minimum of three seasons/years of golf maintenance experience

+ Previous supervisory experience necessary

+ Valid drivers license and ability to obtain Colorado pesticide applicators license

+ basic computer operation- Word, Excel, powerPoint preferred.

+ English necessary- Any Spanish is helpful but not required

The expected pay range is $60,000 - $70,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
