    About the Role:

    Overview

     

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist to join our team at our facility in Hatfield, PA. As a Lathe Set Up Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality parts. This role requires expertise in CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) or CNC Lathe (5+ axis), as well as proficiency in blueprint reading, ability to interpret G-Code, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.     Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC lathes, including Okuma and Doosan machines, to produce precision parts

    + Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining operations and specifications

    + Perform machine setups for production runs, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and programming

    + Utilize calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances

    + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with CNC machines, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity

    + Write and modify G-Code and M-Code programs as needed

    + Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company guidelines

    Qualifications

    + Proven experience as a CNC Machinist Set Up, with expertise in CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) and CNC Lathe (5+ axis)

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints

    + Strong knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming

    + Ability to perform machine setups for production runs

    + Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and resolving issues with CNC machines

    + Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges

    + Basic computer skills for program modification and documentation

    + Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances

    + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

    + Good communication and teamwork abilities
