    The Head of Strategy and Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic vision of our organization. This leadership position encompasses oversight of traditional strategy development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integration activities, national retail sales (with key focus on retail channel), CertainTeed corporate marketing, project management office (PMO), and offsite construction solutions. Leader of this function is responsible for driving business transformation initiatives, fostering culture of continuous improvement, and aligning all functions to create value-added solutions for our customers.

     

    The role will focus on the most critical strategic issues facing SGNA and its business units/activities and it’s alignment with the role SGNA plays in global strategy of CSG. VP of Corporate Strategy will work with the executive team to develop long-term strategic themes for the company and identify new business opportunities in support of these themes.

     

    + **Strategic Leadership:**

    + Develop and execute the company's strategic plans, setting clear goals and objectives to drive business growth and profitability. Transition from product-centric to solution-oriented offerings.

    + Identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges to develop effective strategies and stay ahead of the competition.

    + Foster a culture of continuous improvement while driving commercial performance and operational excellence.

    + Foster relationships with key customers to drive business growth.

    + **M&A and Integrations:**

    + Lead M&A activities, including identifying potential targets, conducting due diligence, and overseeing integration strategies to ensure successful assimilation into the company.

    + **Team Management:**

    + Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the BU strategy leaders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

    + **Retail Sales and Marketing:**

    + Direct national retail sales efforts to drive revenue growth, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market needs.

    + Oversee corporate marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and communicate our transformation journey to stakeholders.

    + **Offsite Construction Solutions:**

    + Develop and implement strategies for offsite construction solutions, positioning the company as a leader in innovative building practices.

    + **Corporate Project Management Office:**

    + Establish and lead a corporate PMO to ensure effective project execution across the organization, focusing on strategic initiatives, transformational projects and monitor performance.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

    + 12+ years of experience in strategy, business development, or executive leadership roles within the manufacturing or construction sectors.

    + Proven track record of successfully leading M&A activities and integrating acquired Strong understanding of national retail sales strategies and corporate marketing principles.

    + Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans, driving business growth and profitability.

    + Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.

    + Sound financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

    + Strategic mindset and planning capabilities: Analyze data and identify trends. Develop long-term plans and set goals.

    + Decision-making: Making sound decisions based on available information, considering potential risks and weighing various alternatives.

    + Problem identification: Recognizing problems or inefficiencies within business strategy.

    + Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment, adjusting strategies as needed.

    + Resource optimization: Maximizing the use of available resources, including personnel, budget, and technology.

    + Communication: Effectively conveying ideas, solutions, and plans to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    + Continuous improvement: Embracing a mindset of ongoing improvement, seeking feedback, and implementing innovative practices.
