Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract IT Deployment Lead/PM to manage and coordinate key project activities, including Legacy System Remediation, Deployment/Cutover Coordination, Testing Coordination, and alignment with PMO governance.
This role requires a strong leader with experience in complex project management, particularly in large-scale system implementations.
This is a contract role requiring 4 days per week onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Lisle, IL.
Responsibilities
Deployment/Cutover Coordination:
+ Work closely with IT Project Managers, Business Process Owners, SI partner, and Navistar stakeholders to execute pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities.
+ Provide strategy, approach, checklists, and planning to ensure successful new system delivery.
+ Develop detailed cutover checklists and project plans incorporating both technical and operational tasks.
+ Create and maintain the deployment plan as per project and PMO governance or standards.
+ Ensure that deployments are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
+ Manage detailed project deliverables for cutover and conversion, resolving discrepancies or process issues.
+ Ensure successful planning and execution of integrated release cutover activities.
+ Prepare, manage, and execute resource management per resource planning, ensuring readiness for cutover activities.
+ Develop communication and escalation plans, including policies, procedures, and downtime processes.
+ Provide status reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders.
+ Lead cutover/deployment activities and key deployment deliverables for Pre-Go-Live, Go-Live, and Post Go-Live phases.
+ Manage PMO governance deliverables and output related to deployment and Go-live.
+ Coordinate with stakeholders, developers, testers, and support teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions.
+ Collaborate with Navistar stakeholders to create and manage cutover task list/plan and activities for each impacted workstream or legacy system.
+ Create, manage, and execute Go/No-Go checklist and meetings.
+ Align blackout, cutover and deployment times with integration systems.
+ Bring experience from at least 1 or 2 global SAP implementations, specifically in deployment management.
Testing Coordination:
+ Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams, ensuring all testing phases are completed on time and meet quality standards.
+ Coordinate extracts, documents and resources that will be needed for testing in the project.
+ Develop, maintain, and track comprehensive test plans/deliverables, schedules, and tracking mechanisms.
+ Coordinate all integration and SIT testing between legacy system owners to completion or sign off.
+ Manage and track PMO governance deliverables per Navistar IT PMO governance process.
+ Facilitate communication between development teams, testers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.
+ Must have experience with managing 40+ stakeholders and any given time.
Legacy Remediation Coordination:
+ Oversee the identification and remediation of legacy systems, ensuring smooth integration or decommissioning.
+ Work with IT leads and technical teams to manage data migration, system compatibility, and legacy system retirement.
+ Develop remediation plans and issue tracker for all legacy issues, ensuring all issues are resolved prior to cutover.
+ Provide regular and accurate reports on the status and progress of legacy projects.
+ Ensure compliance with company standards and best practices for legacy projects.
PMO Activities:
+ Support the Project Management Office (PMO) with project planning, tracking, and reporting.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
+ Ensure alignment of project objectives with overall business goals and provide regular updates to senior management.
+ Manage Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and deliverables in ServiceNow (SNOW) system.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree
+ At least 5 years of information technology project management experience
OR
+ Master's degree
+ At least 3 years of information technology project management experience
OR
+ At least 7 years of information technology project management experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
+ Experience in project management, preferably in IT software development lifecycle
+ Strong knowledge of legacy systems remediation and deployment management
+ Strong knowledge of the use of the ADO system (strongly recommendation)
+ Strong coordination skills, working with a large stakeholder group, and senior leadership.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
+ Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana system and ERP experience (preferred)
+ Must have experience with managing 40 – 50+ stakeholders and any given time.
+ Strong deliverable management, leadership and communication skills.
+ Change management experience is recommended
