With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. *Department Description:* The Ancillary Application Team within Hartford Healthcare (HHC) is dedicated to the implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical and business applications across our enterprise. These applications can include those integrated with HHC’s Epic EMR and those that are standalone. The team currently supports a wide range of applications that align with HHC’s Acute and Institute sites such as PeriWatch, Provation, Natus, Airstrip, Computrition and Spok. *Position Summary:* The Application Analyst will design, configure, and test application functions for our clinical and business clients. Responsibilities of the analyst would be to assist and or lead managing projects from initiation to implementation, daily support, and ongoing maintenance. This role also involves after-hours on-call, bi-monthly maintenance, and the potential for ad hoc after-hours project work. The analyst will be accountable for precise documentation of application functionality and technical support items. Attention to detail and teamwork are critical, as analysts collaborate with various organizational representatives. *Position Responsibilities:* * Facilitate the design, development, system configuration, implementation, and support of information systems. * Understand operational issues within their application area to represent user needs. * Plan, develop, train, implement, and evaluate application functionality. * Collaborate with the team and key customers to ensure appropriate development, training, and implementation. * Consult with application manager, application team lead, project manager, and other team leaders to coordinate activities. * Develop and document internal policies and procedures for application use. * Build effective relationships with clinical and business partners throughout project phases. * Prepare and execute testing scripts and materials, performing unit, system, and integrated testing tasks. * Document and maintain all required system design and build documents, configuring the system accordingly. * Perform other duties as assigned. *Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a healthcare environment. * Four years of experience in clinical/business applications. * Preferred experience in clinical/business information system management in a healthcare setting. * Clinical Technologist with in-depth application knowledge would be accepted (e.g., Neurology Tech with Natus or Cadwell application knowledge). *Required Skills:* * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Ability to communicate technical problems and solutions to non-technical users and stakeholders. * Problem-solving and reporting skills. * Project management skills for design and development. * Ability to construct and work to deadlines. *Technical Skills:* * Working knowledge of general IT policies and procedures (ProductionChange Control, On-Call, Incident Management, Project Intake,Server Requests, Downtime Governance). * Comprehension of enterprise support tools (ex. Active Directory, SCCM, VPN, Solarwinds, RDP, Bomgar, SecureLink, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, Citrix) * Basic understanding of server environments is a plus (hardware, software, and network configurations) *Soft Skills:* * Prioritization skills. * Process improvement/quality skills. * Conflict resolution skills. * Presentation skills. * Interpersonal skills. * Organizational skills. * Training (teach/coach/mentor) skills. * Teamwork skills. * Written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to multi-task. *Organizational Competencies:* * Attend all mandatory education and training programs. * Maintain professional attire and personal cleanliness. * Report to work on time and meet attendance standards. * Communicate messages clearly and concisely. * Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and sound judgment. * Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques. * Travel to locations within Connecticut and surrounding states required. _We take great care of careers_.
