Your Responsibilities

As a **Third Shift Team Leader** for **John Deere Dubuque** works located in **Dubuque IA** , you will:

+ Assign and monitor the work of skilled-trades personnel to prioritize down equipment, preventative maintenance, and project work.

+ Plan for maintenance of equipment that improves reliability, efficiency, quality, and safety.

+ Diagnose machine malfunctions to root cause, recommend solutions, and support the execution of the repair/improvement plan.

+ Provide review, preventive maintenance plans, and documentation.

What Skills You Need

+ 2 or more years of supervision experience.

+ Ability and willingness to support a multi-shift or extended shift operation.

+ 3 or more years of equipment troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

+ Effective communication, both verbal and written

What Makes You Stand Out

+ Experience in a maintenance leadership role in a union environment

+ Technical experience with design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems

+ Automation and controls troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley components and Rockwell Automation PLC software.

+ Experience working within SAP PM module.

+ Experience with machinery and equipment safety standards (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, etc.)

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical, electrical, or equivalent related work experience

The John Deere Dubuque Works is one of the key facilities in Deere & Company's Construction and Forestry (C&F) Division. The Dubuque Works manufactures backhoe loaders, crawler dozers, and skid steer loaders for the construction industry and knuckleboom loaders and tracked feller bunchers for the forestry industry. The Dubuque Works also serves as the Center of Excellence for the C&F Division in the areas of Product Engineering, Product Verification and Validation, Supply Management, and Product Support which includes the Dealer Technical Assistance Center. From a manufacturing perspective, the core competencies of the factory include plate and sheet cutting, machining, welding, paint, and assembly.
