As the Talent Development Manager , you will have the chance to lead and contribute to important initiatives that will undoubtedly impact our employees’ experiences in many positive ways.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead projects and initiatives across the Talent Development space; with an emphasis on projects related to our sales community and employee engagement.
+ Sales Excellence: Project management of our portfolio of sales training offerings, the Sales Acceleration Academy, including partnering with our external education partner and business leaders as we roll out programs across our producer/client advisor sales community and continue to build and evolve our offerings. Create an alumni engagement strategy and identify ways to continuously improve our programs and embed tools in the flow of work. Develop and launch onboarding experience that brings together multiple needs and resources for this community.
+ Leadership and Manager Capability Initiatives : design, lead, and evolve programs / initiatives that lead to increasing the skills of our leaders and managers at various levels and creating resources / structures that will enable their success.
+ Performance Management: Play a key role in executing upon our performance management process by designing communication plans and supporting resources for employees and managers; partner with colleagues across HR to incorporate feedback and lessons learned and align with broader talent processes that are running concurrently.
+ Engagement:
+ Employee Engagement Survey: Lead the administration and analysis of our next employee engagement survey
+ Employee Resource Groups: Partner with the leads of our newly formed ERGs to provide support / advice that helps them achieve their objectives. Develop marketing / comms. related to our ERGs to ensure current and new employees are fully informed about them and how they can join.
+ My Voice Matters: Play a key role in a new recognition program that seeks to be a tool to amplify the ideas and recommendations of our employees by marketing it to employees, encouraging participation, and leading the review/selection process in partnership with a committee of senior leaders.
Work Experience
+ Approx. 5-7 years in Sales Training, Talent Development, Learning/Training
+ Strong program management skills with experience managing multiple training programs running simultaneously but on different schedules; ability to manage events, participant communications, and continuous improvement of the content and participant experience.
+ Ability to partner with a wide variety of business stakeholders to assess training needs and develop solutions / refine our solutions as our company evolves and grows, particularly around sales related training
+ Experience with building orientation/onboarding experiences for a growing sales force that harnesses information and resources from across our company and beyond to ensure a robust integration.
+ Strength in writing corporate communications (e.g. participant invitations, newsletters, etc.)
+ Insurance industry experience is a plus
+ Experience with Qualtrics EX is a plus
+ Experience navigating a matrixed environment
+ Proficient in PowerPoint
Professional Licenses/Certifications
+ Certification with assessments (such as DISC, Hogan, Caliper, or other) is a plus

+ Presentation / Facilitation Skills: Should be comfortable presenting and facilitating with groups both live and virtually
+ Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies.
+ Adaptability: Flexibility to navigate and succeed in a dynamic, evolving environment
+ Ability to thrive in ambiguity: In a growing company, there will always be gaps to fill and undefined processes to navigate.
Physical Demands
Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up/sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically is required every day, and walking and standing are required occasionally.
