We are Vizio, part of Walmart, a leading smart TV platform. VIZIO’s Technology – Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team and contribute to innovate VIZIO products. The Senior Software Engineer going to report to the “Senior Manager” directly who is leading a team and will be assigned a task that requires certain level of insight in terms of specific technology point of view. We value in problem solving and collaboration and believe in empowering our team members to achieve their best. We’re focused on learning, doing something new and valuable, and encouraging our team to do the same. We are looking for a highly competent C++ Developer with experience in design, coding, and debugging. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative team here at Vizio and to accomplish this, we are in office 5 days a week in our Dallas, TX office.

About the Technology Team:
Our Technology Team operates at the heart of Walmart, driving the innovation and solutions that power our business. As a part of this team, you will collaborate with top-tier engineers, QA specialists, and third-party partners to develop robust software solutions. Your contributions will directly support our mission to deliver seamless and efficient shopping experiences for millions of customers worldwide.
What You’ll Do:
**Support Supervisor:** Deliver assigned tasks on time, including coding, debugging, and bug fixing to release software packages.
**Collaborate:** Work within and across teams, including QA and third-party partners, to ensure timely project delivery.
**Review and Maintain:** Review software design and implementations, ensuring code is clean and modular for cross-platform architecture.
**Industry Participation:** Support participation in various trade and industry events, including conferences and sponsored activities.
What You’ll Bring:
**Educational Background:** Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
**Experience:** 6+ years in design, prototyping, software development, code review, and unit testing for embedded devices.
**Technical Proficiency:** Expertise in modern C, C++, C++11/C++14/C++17, object-oriented programming, Javascript, HTML5, Linux OS, Make file, Python, and other development/build tools and scripting languages.
**Linux/RTOS Experience:** Essential knowledge in Linux OS or RTOS for daily activities, including boot-up processes and memory management.
**Communication Skills:** Proficiency with multiple communication paradigms such as client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe.
**Team Collaboration:** Experience working with diverse engineering teams in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
