    Job Summary

    The Cancer Outcomes Analyst collaborates with oncology based physicians and administrative leaders to plan, implement, measure and analyze clinical outcomes. This includes developing data collection plans and reporting processes to monitor our adherence to national guidelines. Detailed chart reviews, data entry, data analysis, and reporting of results are required. The analyst will recommend clinical process improvements to both inpatient and outpatient departments as it relates to oncology based patient care and assist with the implementation and follow up of those process improvement plans.

    Qualifications

    + Education and formal training: Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree preferred; attended at least four basic Continuous Improvement courses.

    + Work experience: At least three years’ experience in healthcare with a clinical focus; has worked closely with physicians and other clinicians; experience with clinical data preferred.

    + Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing; understands clinical process and the delivery of care. Computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
