Description:
The Operations Manager will support the Logistics Integration Support (LIS) Program located at Marine Corps Logistics Command (MCLC) in Albany, GA. The Operations Manager will manage overall operations at all locations (CONUS and OCONUS) and be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the program. The Operations Manager will ensure that all program processes are being followed and that the government customer is receiving the highest level of support possible on a daily and on-going basis.
The Operations Manager will ensure safe and efficient operations; serve as a company representative to the customer; and enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, and enhanced management reporting. The Operations Manager will collaborate with the Program Manager and other program personnel to implement initiatives/process changes for improvement, and will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies.
What you will be responsible for:
+ Coordinate distribution efforts and warehousing objectives in accordance with safety, policy, and procedures established by Director of Operations and Program Manager to achieve division, customer objectives and KPIs
+ Work closely with Quality Department and Director’s to ensure compliance of the ISO/AS Quality System and ensure all sites are compliant
+ Ensure adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting environmental health and safety, as well as quality of product and services
+ Initiate, monitor, and coordinate supply chain processes according to internal and external requirements
+ Work with internal and external auditing agencies to ensure compliance with standards
+ All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
What you will need to be successful in this role:
+ Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or ten years’ experience in an aviation logistics distribution environment required
+ At least 10 years of related and substantial work experience performing similar job functions
+ 8 years’ working in a military supply chain aviation environment focused on distribution, inventory, and material accountability of USG material and systems involved required
+ Complete understanding of USG material management
+ Experience in Microsoft Office applications
+ Ability to obtain a government CAC and a Secret Security Clearance (as required)
+ Administrative and management experience
+ Experience applying quality control
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Suites
+ Experience and knowledge of military ground equipment
+ Knowledge and understanding of military maintenance programs and supply chain management
