Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Peacock Programming team is responsible for setting the content strategy for Peacock across original and acquired programming, including television, film, and live events, defining the service’s audience needs and determining the best strategies to entertain and delight our subscribers. We also craft launch strategies for all original programming, coordinate incoming acquired and current season content from across NBCUniversal, and manage internal communication about content plans for the service.
We are looking for a Coordinator to support the EVP, Programming, Peacock and SVP, Content Strategy, Peacock. This role will provide essential support to the content strategy team in performing content and market analyses, and building and implementing specific audience strategies, while also serving as the Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate for this position has exemplary planning and time management skills and can organize projects and manage calendars, keeping content strategy team operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
+ CONTENT STRATEGY SUPPORT
+ Assists with research projects focused on specific content strategy topics
+ Supports market intelligence efforts, including tracking competitive audience targets and content offerings
+ Assists in creating, editing, and formatting presentations, spreadsheets, databases, and memos
+ Participates in meetings, including preparing and distributing agendas, taking notes, and distributing summaries and action items
+ Compiles and sends regular email updates for specific projects or workflows
+ Tracks deliverables, manages project timelines and deadlines
+ Supports any special projects as needed
+ ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
+ Manages EVP’s and SVP’s daily calendar, scheduling all meetings and proactively updating as necessary; resolves meeting conflicts and prioritizes incoming requests. Demonstrates flexibility, patience, and persistence in routinely rescheduling meetings
+ Responsible for all meeting preparation, including booking rooms, confirming planned attendance, ensuring audio/visual tech, and arranging for food/drink
+ When requested, attends meetings to take notes and identify action items to be distributed to attendees afterward
+ Arranges business travel and accommodations including comprehensive itineraries
+ Processes expense reports in accordance with established policy guidelines; tracks expenses and follows up in a timely manner
+ Provides a bridge for smooth communication; demonstrates leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff
+ Coordinates on-boarding and off-boarding of employees and consultants, including hardware installation requests, space planning, etc.
+ Manages general office and administrative tasks, including ordering of supplies, renewing memberships and subscriptions, managing distribution lists, printing materials, etc.
+ Manages department files, including electronic document systems, intranet web sites, and web-based project management tools
+ Manages special projects as requested, assists other team members as necessary, and acts as back up for other assistants on team
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 2+ years of experience in the content media industry, including relevant internships
+ Previous experience maintaining executive phone, calendar, work and travel schedules using Microsoft Outlook
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel with advanced knowledge of Power Point
+ Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including a professional phone manner and in-person presence
+ Experience taking detailed notes and extracting action items
+ Superior organizational and administrative skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work
+ Self-starter with strong decision-making capability, the ability to follow through without supervision, and strong emotional maturity
+ Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
+ Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
+ Contribute thoughtful perspectives about television and film, and have a passion for the world of streaming entertainment
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
