The Opportunity:

The Law Clerk position is a great opportunity for recent law school graduates seeking to gain practical, hands-on experience applying your knowledge to assist with high profile cases being investigated and litigated by the Department of Justice. This opportunity will also enhance your knowledge and understanding of the litigation life cycle as you assist with investigations from discovery through trial and appeal.

Responsibilities:

+ Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.

+ Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege: and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.

+ Assist with case organization and maintenance; plays integral role in preparing team for witness interviews, discovery and trials.

+ Provide in-courtroom assistance, exhibit collection and review, and legal research as needed based on trial demands.

+ Utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document review, communicating detailed summaries and analyses of findings.

+ Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel and others as needed.

+ Research and compile data from a variety of references sources, preparing substantive indices upon request, summarize articles, reports, witness statements.

+ Work multiple cases simultaneously and multi-task with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

_Required:_

+ Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.

+ Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.

+ Must have familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.

+ Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.

+ Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.

+ Flexibility to work overtime on short notice

+ DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required)

+ Leadership experience.

+ Ability to perform quality control analysis and report any issues with data.

+ Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly. *Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on-site with government clients.

+ eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks similar to the duties and responsibilities described.

+ Proficiency with Relativity eDiscovery software.

Pay Range:

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.​

Minimum Req** **uired Hourly Wage:

$38.77
