Job Summary
The Engineer, Testing and Automation role focuses on designing, developing, and automating software solutions to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency. The role requires expertise in modern development practices, automation frameworks, simulator creation, and end-to-end (E2E) testing for complex platforms. Candidates must have experience in technology and communications domains and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality software solutions in a collaborative environment.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, and service virtualization testing.
+ Build and maintain simulators to replicate real-world scenarios for testing and validation.
+ Develop and execute E2E testing strategies for complex platforms, ensuring seamless integration across components.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
+ Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and other DevOps tools to streamline deployment processes.
+ Monitor and analyze system performance using visualization tools like Grafana and Kibana.
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
+ Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and maintain version control using Git.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
+ Ensure test coverage and quality assurance through regression, functional, performance, and E2E testing.
Required Skills:
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Groovy.
+ Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber BDD, PlayWright and TestNG.
+ Expertise in API testing and service virtualization using tools like Parasoft Virtualize, SOAP UI, Bruno and Postman.
+ Strong knowledge of E2E testing strategies for complex platforms.
+ Experience with DevOps practices, including containerization with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Familiarity with databases like MySQL and cloud-based database services (DBaaS).
+ Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Rally.
+ Ability to analyze and visualize data using tools like Grafana and Kibana.
+ Experience in technology and communications domains is a must-have.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 10+ years of experience in software development, automation, and testing.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
