ABOUT THE ROLE

Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a 3rd Shift General Laborer to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. The position is primarily responsible for maintaining the grounds and operating equipment to include sweeping, shoveling, and performing light maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating parts. The position will also perform pre and post-trip inspections on equipment, such as a rubber tire loader, forklift, man lift or bobcat prior to and after operation, and will operate such equipment in support of plant operations. This position hours are typically between 10:00pm-7:00am. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

+ Assist with the operation of heavy machinery by providing support to equipment operators and maintenance teams.

+ Perform routine cleanup tasks around the quarry, including removing debris, clearing pathways, and maintaining a safe work environment.

+ Load and unload materials, such as aggregates, sand, and gravel, onto trucks or conveyors.

+ Monitor and assist with material flow, ensuring that materials are efficiently processed and moved through the quarry.

+ Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, including checking oil levels, cleaning machinery, and reporting any mechanical issues.

+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and MSHA standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

+ Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for daily operations, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for the next shift.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

+ **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent

+ **Field of Study Preferred: N/A**

+ **Required Work Experience: Minimum 6 months expereince**

+ **Travel Requirements: None**

+ Pass a 7-year criminal background check, including both felonies and misdemeanors, as required for employment

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
