Seeking entry-level Environmental Field Technician (0-3 years experience) to perform environmental fieldwork.
Primary work will be:
+ Soil vapor extraction system Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
+ Groundwater monitoring
+ Soil, soil vapor, & indoor air sampling
+ Air monitoring/excavation oversight
This hybrid/remote role requires working in a variety of environments and a combination of travel (local or regional). Must live in greater Los Angeles area.
**PRIMARY PURPOSE:** To provide a multitude of field services for environmental investigations, remediation, and environmental construction-related projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Conduct environmental fieldwork on a variety of different types of projects.
+ Assists, observes, and directs contractor work on projects and interact with clients and contractor or subcontractor representatives accordingly.
+ Prepares chain of custody forms for analytical testing, recording survey data in approved forms.
+ Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis, as applicable, for services rendered for external clients.
+ Gathers detailed notes, takes photographs, and documents field activities; attention to detail is a must.
+ Follows industry acceptable methodology for performance of services.
+ Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
+ Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Position sometimes requires heavy lifting (up to ~ 50 lbs) and physical labor; field days can be sometimes be up to 12 hours.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Supports the organization's quality program(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
+ **High school diploma required.**
+ **Preferred Bachelors degree in** Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related **science from an accredited college or university.**
+ **Preferred current or other related environmental training.**
+ **Preferred OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety training.**
+ **Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.**
Experience
0-3 years industry experience and Bachelor’s degree

+ Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
+ Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $26.00 - $30.00 USD hourly.
