• Sr Sourcing Spec

    Weatherford (Houston, TX)


    The Sr Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing an efficient sourcing process by building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, negotiating costs and developing agreements for the goods and services required for Corporate, Indirect spend. This involves using established sourcing methodology, electronic platforms and tools. The role will report to the Director Global Indirect procurement.

    Requirements

    + Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with company policies, laws, regulations, and industry practices

    + Place quality, health & safety, security and environmental protection as core values

    + Develop and implement the sourcing plan, working closely with Corporate, stakeholders, suppliers and category management

    + Assess sourcing and category opportunities, analyzing spend data and supplier/category industry trends

    + Execute sourcing events (RFXs), negotiate multi-million spend contracts.

    + Negotiate contractual, commercial terms, service level agreements and scope definition.

    + Maintain accurate contracts and supplier records, award contracts to compliant suppliers

    + Track contract performance, supplier development, contract inventory, risk assessments and contingency planning

    + Utilize company systems, tools and reports efficiently

    + Create strategic alliances with suppliers to develop long-term supply partnerships

    + Work on consolidation and rationalization of supplier base

    + Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders

    + Demonstrate leadership, ethical behavior and adherence to Weatherford standards

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of higher degree and related experience is required.

    + Legally authorized to work.

    Experience

    + Minimum 7+ years of related experience with demonstrated competencies in sourcing and procurement at corporate level for large companies

    + Have indirect sourcing support experience

    Knowledge & Skills

    + Expert with procurement, sourcing principles and techniques

    + Expertise in contract management and service level agreements

    + Advanced in stakeholders’ management at C-suite level

    + Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and presentation skills

    + Excellent time management, detail orientation and accuracy

    + Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work under pressure and adapt quickly

    + Excellent customer service and teamwork skills

     

    Travel Requirement

     

    This role may require domestic and potentially international travel up to 10%.
