The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement and inventory processes within a laboratory environment. This role ensures that all necessary supplies, reagents, equipment, and materials are available in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining accurate inventory records. The position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can effectively manage vendor relationships, order processing, and collaborate with laboratory staff.
Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Manage inventory, stock control, and purchase order processing to support daily laboratory operations.
+ Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records in compliance with company policies.
+ Implement and monitor inventory control systems and establish appropriate reorder points.
+ Solicit quotations and procure laboratory materials, operational supplies, and equipment.
+ Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming reagents and supplies.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular weekly and cycle counts.
+ Ensure inventory practices adhere to all applicable safety regulations and laboratory standards.
+ Review and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring ongoing compliance with updates.
+ Demonstrate high integrity and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
+ Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities to support budgetary goals.
+ Assist the Finance Manager with basic accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
+ Perform additional administrative or operational duties as needed to support laboratory functions.
+ Uphold the expectations of Eurofins CellTx’s quality management system, including adherence to SOPs, good documentation practices, proper training, and accurate recordkeeping to meet quality objectives.
+ Physical and mental requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, follow safety protocols, and perform duties in a laboratory or warehouse setting. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
+ High school Diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain, preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting.
+ Work is primarily conducted in a laboratory or warehouse environment and may involve handling hazardous materials and lifting up to 50 lbs. following proper protocols.
+ Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with a the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
+ Possesses general clinical laboratory knowledge with solid problem-solving, analytical, and data entry abilities.
+ Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with effective verbal and written communications skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and inventory-related software systems.
+ Able to operate within quality systems and adhere to applicable regulatory requirements.
+ Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

+ This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins CellTx Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Position is full-time, working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Tucson, AZ are encouraged to apply.
