Overview
The Director of Site Operations will act as a primary liaison between IGT California and the California Lottery. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of account management, including business operations, best practices, day-to-day efficiencies, and strategic planning and execution. This Director will provide business leadership for all major California initiatives and software system deliveries, working closely with other business units to ensure alignment.
A key focus of this role is to maintain uninterrupted service across all back office, player, retail, and application systems by participating in change management activities, monitoring contractual SLAs, and driving incident management best practices as necessary.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to delegate and prioritize assignments efficiently. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual with a deep experience in regulated environments and high-volume transaction systems, while upholding the highest standards of compliance and security.
**Location:** This is a hybrid role located in our Sacramento, CA office.
Responsibilities
Site Operations
+ Day to day site operations, including Communications, Operations, Information Technology, Field Services, Retailer Services and Reporting & Analysis.
+ Lead site efforts to develop and improve operations through efficient and effective integrated processes, implementing common management processes/services to leverage organization resources.
+ Ensure efficient daily production of systems to include software and hardware changes and serving as client liaison. Perform verification that the test process has been performed correctly, analyze results and recommend test process improvements.
+ Respond accordingly during system incidents to minimize service disruption and financial penalties.
+ Ensure adherence to prescribed schedules and operating policies and procedures. Provide input on the development of procedures and control mechanisms to improve operations and reduce operational errors.
+ Update, maintain and test the site Disaster Recovery Plan. Lead risk management and business continuity planning efforts.
+ Work with Site Contract Manager to ensure contractual obligations are being met.
+ Investigate incidents in the production environment, manage incident reports and other follow up items as required by the contract or customer request.
+ Implement and monitor KPIs to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Relationship
+ Collaborate with audit, engineering, compliance, product, and client services teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects and services.
+ Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and third-party technology integrations.
+ Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, including lottery commissions and government agencies, to ensure contractual and regulatory alignment.
Leadership
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
+ Lead operational planning and execution to support the growth and efficiency of lottery technology solutions.
+ Oversee staffing, training, and performance management within the operations department.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, with at least 5 in a leadership role within a technology or gaming environment.
+ Advanced knowledge of datacenter operations including infrastructure design, system administration, network management, and security controls.
+ Advanced knowledge of technical systems utilities used to diagnose and identify hardware and software problems and failures.
+ Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple locations.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
+ Project management experience a plus.

_At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $85,000 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable._
_Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
