    Job Title: Punch/Turret Press Operator

     

    Primary Responsibility: As a Punch/Turret Press Operator, your primary responsibility is working as a machine operator who works primarily in manufacturing or metal fabrication settings. You will operate turret punch presses-CNC-controlled machines that use a rotating turret with different punching tools to shape or cut sheet metal.

    Major Duties:

    1. Required reading and math skills equivalent to a high school education

    2. Required ability to set up and operate presses independently on work of moderate difficulty and with some technical guidance on more difficult work

    3. Performing operations on a variety of parts and following general instructions

    4. Feed and control operation of the press, check product against standards for conformance to specifications, and to detect faulty operation of equipment

    Experience Preferred/Special Notes

    * One year or more of related production experience

    * Reading and math skills equivalent to a high school education

    * Long periods of standing, bending, or crouching

    * Knowledge of tools and equipment used to complete assemblies
