Responsibilities
This position is responsible for leading all aspects of workforce benchmarking and productivity for CommonSpirit Health. A key focus will be on standardizing a region's labor management based on national guidelines, data integrity, and optimal use of the productivity and benchmarking solutions for each facility. This will be achieved by working closely with local, regional, and national leadership teams. The focus of this team member is to work with all of the leaders in the designated facilities, strengthen operational knowledge of each facility on productivity, and to enhance working relationships with leadership.
This is a Remote position and the individual needs to reside in any of the South Region states (TX, TN, KY, GA, OH, AR).
This Director role will support hospitals throughout the South region.
MUST have Labor Productivity Management, Finance and Healthcare experience.
1. In support of the System Director of Labor Management, partner with the Hospital, Market, or Region VPs to develop and implement system productivity strategy that supports the Operational Strategy to produce measurable financial improvements.
2. Participates at Hospital, Market, Regional meetings to provide information on productivity metrics, areas of opportunity and most importantly drive solutions to identified challenges using CommonSpirit-wide solutions and strategies.
3. Lead process improvement projects related to improving productivity within the Region by working with region, market and hospital leadership.
4. Conduct customer interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design to identify, recommend, and solve labor management business problems. Construct and/or lead data analysis by ensuring efficient data collection, instructing on analytical choices and summarizing conclusions and recommendations.
5. Plan, organize, and lead initiatives required for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of departments and programs; including, active participation with other entities, hospitals, leadership, and staff.
6. Develop performance standards, metrics, and operation procedures within the department that support the region and national strategies, policies, and procedures.
7. Create and implement processes, tools, and educational material that enable department leaders and teams to understand and interpret data and use the tools to improve productivity.
8. Understand and apply industry best practices, standards, and regulations related to productivity tools, financial analysis, auditing and reporting.
9. Ability to MS Office and Google Drive Suite (including Excel/Sheet, Word/Docs, DataStudio/Looker) and other relevant applications to access/extract data in relational databases (SQL) and maintain technical expertise.
10. Ability to understand, present and explain complex financial, clinical, and productivity data in a clear and understandable manner to local, regional, and national stakeholders.
11. Provide analytical support for benchmarking, productivity monitoring, tracking and reporting systems.
12. Ensure timely and accurate benchmarking audits, data submission, report generation and associated manager education regarding report interpretation and improvement opportunity identification.
13. Provide analytical support, training, and education of benchmarking and productivity systems and reports.
14. Provide key analysis and evaluation of a Regional performance to support operations improvement and other performance management efforts.
15. Partner with local, regional, and national Finance, Accounting, and other teams on labor budget process and assist in the development of productivity targets.
16. Lead the efforts in setting labor budgets at departmental level by utilizing productivity and benchmarking concepts; support local teams and the system director of labor management to finalize labor budgets in the set timeline.
17. Support System Director for labor management in developing and standardizing internal work for the broader national team such as internal benchmarking, developing Unit of Services, and etc.
18. Champion of data analytics and its potential to drive critical business decisions and impact Healthcare
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Business, or Healthcare Management
Five (5) years experience in healthcare **(Acute Care setting)**
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree (Finance/Accounting/Business, or Healthcare Management)
7 years experience in healthcare **(Acute Care setting)**
2 years leadership, Six Sigma Black Belt, process improvement/labor analysis

Pay Range
$49.20 - $71.34 /hour
