    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    + Assists surgical team in the scrubbing role according to prescribed standards and licensure

    + Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure

    + Passes instruments, suture products, medication, and sponge materials to surgeon

    + Maintains sterile field. Reports immediately any breaks in aseptic technique

    + Assists with retracting of tissue and organs, and suctioning by holding the retracting instrumentwhich has been placed by the surgeon

    Qualifications

    Required Education & Experience:

    + High school diploma/GED

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience

    + CST or CSFA or OR LVN

     

    Overview

     

    Surgical Technician II - PRN

     

    As our Surgical Tech II at St. Joseph, you will help assist in patient care and preparation of surgical patients.

     

    Every day you will perform scrub duties and related procedures in accordance with your license, be accountable for ensuring maintenance of sterile field and supplies/equipment for selected speciality.

     

    To be successful in this role, you must perform in the advanced roles of preceptor, and understand sterile techniques for instruments and surgical situations.

    $25.18 - $36.52 /hour
