Responsibilities

Expectations:

+ Registration of new patients in the practice management system for outreach or other services not on EMR, billing and coding, including scanning necessary paperwork, some manual data entry of charges.

+ Process encounters held in the work queue or task lists, organize paper charge tickets for coding staff, and perform charge reconciliation.

+ Review and process charges in the work queue per assigned edits.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

+ One to two years billing experience in a health care environment

+ Knowledge of health insurance plans
