Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Medical Director and Director of Imaging Services, performs Nuclear Medince studies, operates diagnostic equipment, and is responsible for the efficient daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Department.
Position Responsibitlies:
1. Surveys the amount of radiation given off by all radioactive dosage prescribed for the patient.
2. Assists with administering isotope therapy.
3. Performs nuclear medicine studies on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Doctor.
4. Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe, and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Peforms periodic QA and ensure requisite documentation.
5. Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
6. Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure.
Qualifications
Education Required
Graduated of Nuclear Medicine Technology program from and accredited institution or Graduate of Radiologic Technology program from and accredit institution.
Licensure/Certification Required
BLS certification through and approved AHA program
Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) with Texas Medical Board & Registered ARRT(N) with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist OR Registered CNMT with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Experience Required
One (1) year
Preferred
Two (2) years of experience in discipline

Pay Range
$33.52 - $48.60 /hour
