Medical Director:** **Infection Prevention Summary:

+ Serves as the physician responsible for creating and implementing the strategic and clinical priorities within the area of responsibility.

+ Plans and directs medical policies, standards, and programs as required.

+ Responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians and providers. Ensures all clinical programs are in compliance with all applicable regulations.

+ Advises non medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

**Required Education:** Doctoral Degree – Medical Doctor

**Required Credentials:** Medical License – State of Florida within 6 months of hire

Required Experience:

+ Board Certification in Infectious Diseases or related specialty with at least 5 years of post-residency/fellowship clinical experience.

+ At least 2 years of leadership experience – preferably at a hospital or system level

+ **Preferred Experience:**

+ Training/experience in hospital epidemiology and infection prevention and control are beneficial.
