    10751 – IT Financial Analyst I, Cloud FinOps

    Purpose:

    The Cloud Billing Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the billing and cost tracking processes for cloud services. This role involves ensuring accurate billing, resolving discrepancies, optimizing cloud expenditures, and providing insights into cloud costs to support financial and operational goals.

    Essential Functions:

    + Billing Management:

    + Review and validate cloud service invoices from providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for accuracy.

    + Reconcile invoices with internal usage records and resolve discrepancies.

    + Process the invoices in procurement portal.

    + Generate project/client group specific cost report.

    + Cost Tracking and Analysis:

    + Monitor cloud service usage and spending patterns.

    + Generate and distribute detailed reports on cloud costs, usage, and cost allocation to stakeholders.

    + Cost Optimization:

    + Analyze spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for cost reduction.

    + Ensure accurate cost allocation to departments or projects as per company policies.

    + Issue Resolution:

    + Investigate and resolve billing issues and disputes with cloud service providers.

    + Work with vendors to clarify charges and resolve any billing discrepancies.

    + Documentation and Compliance:

    + Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and communications with cloud service providers.

    + Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to cloud billing.

    + Collaboration:

    + Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting related to cloud services.

    + Provide insights and recommendations to assist in financial planning and management.

    Basic Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, financial analysis, or a related role, with experience in cloud environments preferred.

    + Proficiency with cloud billing tools and platforms (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).

    + Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and vendors.

    + Strong problem-solving skills for resolving billing issues and optimizing costs.

    Preferred to have:

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Management Accountant) are a plus.

    + Familiarity with multiple cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.

    + Knowledge of financial management and Cloud Management Portals.

     

    Salary range: $69,390 to $99,220
