    Position Summary

    Univision is seeking a Manager to support the Finance, Record to Report team for Networks. This candidate will be involved in all aspects of the monthly accounting close process as well as in charge of the daily management of the general ledger, among other responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities

    + Review all journal entries are processed and ensure they are prepared in accordance with the company policy and in line with monthly close schedule

    + Review all account reconciliations and ensure they are prepared and reviewed in accordance with the company policy

    + Review all programming rights, programming obligations and cash flow schedules related to linear/television platform for licensed and produced content.

    + Work strategically with the Networks CFO and Networks Finance team to ensure accurate financial statements.

    + Respond to issues that arise in the field that affect the close.

    + Report status of day-to-day tasks

    + Escalate disputes and other outstanding issues to supervisor as needed

    + Daily management of the general ledger and staff

    + Monitor service levels and make recommendations for improvement.

    + Work with ETS to solution items Identified for improvement

    + Maintain procedural documentation

    + Ability to interpret and understand contracts.

    + Responsible for the accounting for specialized contractual obligations.

    + Preparation of the Quarterly Flux analysis book

    + Assist in gathering support for the internal/external audit requests

    + Support ad hoc projects/system implementation

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting

    + 5+ yrs. accounting experience

    + Strong PC Skills with moderate knowledge of Excel

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks

    + Problem solving and priority setting

    + Strong verbal and analytical skills required with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively

    + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with team

     

    Desired Skills & Experience

     

    + Certified Public Accountant is a plus

    Eligibility Requirements

    + Work from office in Teaneck, NJ

    + Employment/education will be verified

    + Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

    + Ability to speak/write/understand Spanish is preferred.

    + Flexibility, as there will be workweeks that require more than 40 hours to ensure the Company’s reporting requirements are met.
