Description

The Department of Environmental Sciences at Emory University invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in environmental social science. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate courses. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work addresses the intersection of environmental, economic and political systems. This position is for a 2-year duration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and teach undergraduate courses, including introductory, intermediate breadth, and advanced electives in environmental social sciences.

* Engage students in interdisciplinary approaches to environmental challenges, with a focus on institutions, economic systems, and sustainability.

* Participate in departmental activities and mentoring students.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.

* Research/work experience in environmental policy, sustainable business, or related fields.

* Familiarity with environmental policies and governance structures
