Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies, procedures and strategies related to the physician practice operations.
+ Develop goals, plans and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
+ Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
+ Prepare operational and departmental budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding.
+ Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
+ Direct and evaluate practice activities to achieve performance and quality control objectives
Requirements
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
+ Master's degree (MHA, MBA or MPH) or enrollment in an advanced degree program strongly preferred
+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in health-care operations, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting
+ Experience with value-based care models, patient access strategies, quality improvement, or multi-site operational oversight
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization
+ Health-care operations expertise with a deep understanding of ambulatory or acute care clinic work-flows, staffing models, patient flow, and provider support
+ **Strategic leadership** skills/experience with proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies that align with organizational goals, improve efficiency, and drive measurable outcomes
+ **People Leadership** skills with a strong background in leading multidisciplinary teams, coaching leaders, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and engagement
+ **Change management** skills with the demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, including standardization, growth initiatives, and cultural transformation
+ Strong analytical thinking skills. Must be comfortable with data, financial reports, and KPIs to assess performance and drive continuous improvement.
+ **Patient-Centered** focus with the commitment to enhancing the patient experience through quality initiatives, access improvements, and service excellence.
****** This is a full-time leadership role that requires flexibility beyond a traditional 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule. The Director of Operations must be available to support clinic operations, address urgent issues as they arise, and attend early morning or occasional evening meetings. While typical business hours apply, the nature of this role may occasionally require extended hours to meet organizational needs and support our clinic teams effectively.
