Job Description
Insight Global is looking for L3 Application Support Specialist to join one the largest global financial institutions onsite 5x a week in downtown Manhattan. They will be joining AppBank Operations which is a 24x7 production management team that supports a variety of business applications throughout the firm. This person will be providing front office support working with traders and strategists that build financial models in the credit space. When there are issues happening that could be related to data or code changes, this person will be helping to make sure that the trades are going through and processes are happening seamlessly. They will do this by debugging, rewriting and fixing code as needed and working to understand the applications functionality. In addition, this person needs to be able to look at problems critically by identifying the root cause to figure out how to fix the issue at hand and ensure it doesnt happen again. To be successful in this role, exceptional communication skills are needed to communicate with business, high-level stakeholders and collaborate with the development team; in addition to having a high sense of urgency to help drive the business forward and reduce problems.

Skills and Requirements
-8-12+ years of experience working as an application support specialist
-Experience utilizing Java to rewrite, debug and fix code
-Use of Linux to write commands and scripts
-Experience using SQL to write queries
-Ability to triage L3 application issues -Experience working within the front office at a banking institution null
