About this role:
Global Control Room Technology is seeking a highly skilled Lead Angular Developer with a strong background in building dynamic, high-performance web applications using Angular. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Angular (v12+), JavaScript, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS3, Angular Material, Kendo UI, Flexbox, and modern testing frameworks like Jasmine and Karma. Experience working in an Agile development environment and adhering to Web Accessibility Guidelines (WAG) is essential.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
+ Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
+ Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
+ Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
+ Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
+ Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development
+ 3+ years of experience using Angular
Desired Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in Angular 12+, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
+ Strong experience with Angular Material and Kendo UI for UI development.
+ Deep understanding of RxJS, Observables, and reactive programming paradigms.
+ Proficiency in modern layout techniques, especially Flexbox.
+ Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jasmine and Karma.
+ Familiarity with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and implementing accessible components.
+ Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development practices.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable and performant Angular applications.
+ Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver user-centric features.
+ Implement responsive layouts using CSS3, Flexbox, and Angular Material or Kendo UI.
+ Develop reusable components and libraries to streamline development processes.
+ Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using best practices in JavaScript/TypeScript.
+ Utilize RxJS for handling asynchronous data streams and managing complex state.
+ Perform unit testing with Jasmine and Karma to ensure high-quality code delivery.
+ Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WAG/ARIA) across all UI components.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
+ Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior developers.
+ Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data integration.
+ Knowledge of state management patterns (e.g., NgRx).
+ Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
