National Accounts Sales Manager

Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking a National Accounts Sales Manager to join our Sales team! Ideal candidates will be based in either the Central or Western United States.
This position is responsible for generating Amerlux sales and revenues in accordance with annual quotas and targets set by Amerlux Management. The National Sales Manager serves as the Amerlux representation, also working with national distribution, agents and the specification influences to promote, educate and specify Amerlux indoor products with key targets.
Key Sales Responsibilities Include:
+ Meet or exceed interim and annual sales quotas and sales targets as set forth by Management.
+ Identify and target design influences, lighting designers, architects and etc.
+ Actively call on decision makers and promote Amerlux to spec Amerlux through testing, mock-ups, and account network of owners; as well as call on architect and lighting designers who focus on architectural projects.
+ Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Sales to identify national, regional, local accounts and execute the plan to increase share of wallet and specification with key customers.
+ Collaborate with Product Management and the Engineering department being the voice of the customer and bring new solutions back to the team.
+ Work closely with DELTA IBT sales team to drive synergy opportunities with key customers through building automation and controls. Conduct joint sales calls with the Delta IBT sales team on strategic targets to influence specification and pull through orders for Amerlux.
Sales Call Objectives Include:
+ Present solutions based on presentations and work closely with the agent partners in education their sales force on Amerlux products and their value sell.
+ Handle inquiries from sales support focused on the design community.
+ Develop and foster one on one relationships with high level decision makers with key accounts, as well as the studio directors at key design firms that influence territory projects.
Office Duties and Other Responsibilities Include:
+ Provide timely daily activity reports to the Executive/Management team including, but not limited to; industry trends in technology, new project activity, agency feedback, and/or any other information deemed helpful to Management.
+ Maintain all sales and specification activity, opportunity details, and product forecasting in monthly target report.
+ Plan the marketing and solicitation of new calls, the writing of specifications, and coordination of layouts for clients; as well as ordering account specific samples for mock-ups and other uses.
+ Forecast sales and products accurately and timely, on a rolling 30-60-90-day basis.
+ Work closely with Amerlux support functions and Project Management team in the spirit of securing new business and managing business won.
+ Develop product knowledge and expertise in all Amerlux product lines to accurately present such to the customer base. Become proficient in product technical knowledge, lighting applications, and presentation of the Amerlux product line and ROI sale.
+ Collaborate with other sales members to maximize Amerlux’s revenues and ability to reach all opportunities.
+ Other duties as deemed priority and appropriate by the Company and Management.
Travel Requirements:
+ Minimum 60% travel in territory, away from home office.
+ Additional travel to corporate office or national meetings as requested.
Minimum Qulaifications/Experience:
+ Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience.
+ 5 years sales experience in the lighting industry preferred.
+ Lighting, architectural, or design engineering industry experience preferred.
